Pump up your tyres

Under inflated tyres could be costing you 7% extra fuel.  Check tyre pressures every 2 weeks when the tyres are cold.

Regular wheel alignments

Incorrect wheel alignment can increase the rolling resistance of your vehicle, which will increase fuel consumption (and increase tyre wear).

Get your brakes checked

Poorly maintained brakes could be dragging or binding, which would be like driving around with your foot always on the brake pedal.

Regular air filter, oil filter and oil changes

Not paying attention to these items not only decreases the life and performance of your vehicle, but can also increase your fuel consumption.  For example, fresh oil will reduce friction by properly lubricating your engine and transmission.
